Paul Farnsworth

Paul trained in theatre design at Wimbledon School of Art and has designed extensively in the West End, around the UK and internationally.

His most recent designs include A Pack of Lies and  Barnum (Menier Chocolate Factory), Annie Get Your GunJekyll and Hyde and Anything Goes (Det Ny Teater, Copenhagen) and West Side Story (Kilworth House). He is currently designing two as yet unannounced productions for Norway and the Netherlands.

Paul’s extensive list of credits in London and the West End include the European premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s Passion (Queen’s Theatre - Olivier Award for Best Set Design), Follies (Royal Festival Hall), Lend Me A Tenor - the musical (Gielgud - also Theatre Royal, Plymouth), Shall We Dance with Adam Cooper (Sadler’s Wells), She Loves MeCandideCharley’s Aunt and Smash (all Menier Chocolate Factory).  Mrs Warren’s Profession (also Theatre Royal, Bath), Afraid of the Dark (Charing Cross Theatre), Scrooge (Palladium - also UK, US tours and Australia - Green Room Award for Best Set & Costume Design), Whistle Down the Wind (Palace Theatre and UK Tour), Darker Shores and Berlin Hanover Express (Hampstead), Sleuth and Fallen Angels (both Apollo), The Cherry Orchard (Aldwych), Moby Dick (Piccadilly), What a Performance (Queen's), Ghosts (Comedy), and Lady be Good, The Boyfriend, The Music Man, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Kiss Me, Kate, Lady Be GoodThe FantasticksPaint Your WagonTroilus and CressidaThe Merry Wives of WindsorA Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (all Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre).
